Faith in Action: Partnering with St. John’s Ministries
St. John’s Ministries is 100% community funded, and we simply could not do this work without faith partners and individuals who live out their faith in tangible ways. Since 2005, local faith communities have been integral in carrying the mission of St. John’s Ministries forward.
Beginning with our first shelter season in 2005, congregations and faith organizations across the Green Bay community have prayed, served, given, and walked alongside our guests. Your partnership is not supplemental to this ministry — it is foundational.
We believe the local faith community plays a powerful role in restoring hope, and we would be honored to walk alongside you.
Why Faith Matters
St. John’s Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit devoted to honoring dignity, restoring hope, and creating lasting change for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Our faith shapes how we see this work:
When we serve our neighbors, we are not simply meeting need — we are living out Matthew 22:37-39 in real and practical ways.

What Partnership Looks Like
We believe partnership is relational. Partnering together is not a transaction but a shared belief in our mission.

How Partnership Strengthens Your Faith Community
Engaging with St. John’s Ministries offers congregations an opportunity to put faith into action locally. Through prayer, service, and relationships, churches deepen discipleship, foster unity, and provide members of all ages with meaningful opportunities to learn about justice, compassion, and dignity firsthand. These shared experiences strengthen a congregation’s connection to the broader community while offering tangible ways to live out Christ’s call to love our neighbors. Homelessness is a community challenge and we are stronger when communities come together.
